KidSenses is Temporarily Closed

NC Governor Roy Cooper has issued an Executive Order to close all K-12 public schools for two weeks, effective Monday, March 16. Governor Cooper has asked for statewide action, and in response, we have decided to temporarily close to the public. We continue to monitor the quickly-evolving developments surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) and will evaluate re-opening on a weekly basis.

While there are no reported cases of COVID-19 related to the Museum, we want to ensure the safety of children and families in our community by following the recommendations set forth by our state government.

We will be making adjustments to membership terms once we return to our normal operating hours.

“While we consistently maintain the highest standard of cleanliness within the Museum, we feel that closing at this time is the best way to ensure the health and wellbeing of our visitors during the current health alert”, says Executive Director, Willard Whitson. “Our staff will continue to develop exciting new programs, and work continues on The FACTORY, our new addition currently under construction.”

Please continue to visit our website and Facebook pages for updates and also for fun activities your children and you can do at home. We encourage you to have conversations with your children about COVID-19. Here is a resource from NPR to help guide those talks.
